What the Discord integration does

The Discord integration posts each Domainyze alert into a Discord channel through a channel webhook. It carries the same events as email and Slack: availability, lifecycle status changes, registrar and nameserver changes, certificate problems, DNS edits and the daily expiry digests.

Each alert is a single embed. Its title is the alert and links to the domain in Domainyze, its colour follows the alert's severity so a channel can be triaged at a glance, and its fields are the facts for that alert type. A plain-text line goes with it for notification popups.

The webhook URL is the whole credential, so Domainyze stores it as a secret and masks it once saved. No bot joins your server and nothing can read the channel.

01 · The embed

The exact embed Discord receives

This is what the Send test button posts: a sample availability alert for example.com, formatted by the same code as every real alert.

  1. The title is the alert's own sentence and links to the domain.
  2. The colour is set by severity: blue, amber, orange or red.
  3. The fields are the facts that alert type carries.
  4. The content line is what Discord shows in notifications.

Discord authenticates by the URL, so no signature header is sent.

03 · Setup

Connect a Discord channel in four steps

About five minutes, and you need Manage Webhooks permission on the server.

Create a channel webhook

Step 1

In Discord, edit the channel, open Integrations, then Webhooks, and create one. Copy its URL, which starts with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/.

Add it as a destination

Step 2

In Domainyze, open Settings, then Alerts, choose Discord and paste the URL. Any other URL is refused as a form error.

Choose the alert types

Step 3

Keep every type, or narrow it to what this channel is for. Each destination has its own filter.

Send a test

Step 4

Press Send test. The sample embed above appears in the channel and the result is written to the delivery log.

Before you connect a server.

How do I send domain expiry alerts to Discord?

Create a webhook in the Discord channel, then add its URL in Domainyze under Settings, Alerts, as a Discord destination. Expiry reminders arrive as a daily digest embed; choose which other alert types the channel gets, then press Send test.

Is the Discord integration on the free plan?

No. Discord delivery is included with Pro and Business. A free account keeps email alerts on 5 domains.

What do the embed colours mean?

They follow the alert's severity: blue for informational, amber for medium, orange for high and red for critical. A domain becoming available is critical, so it arrives red.

Does a bot need to join my server?

No. Domainyze only posts to the channel webhook you create. It cannot read messages or see members, and deleting the webhook in Discord stops delivery.

Can I post to more than one Discord channel?

Yes. A webhook belongs to one channel, so create one per channel and add each as its own destination with its own alert types.
