DNS monitoring is automatically enabled for all domains in your Portfolio. Follow these steps to start monitoring your domain's DNS records.

Steps to Enable DNS Monitoring

  1. Add Domain to Portfolio:

    • Navigate to the Dashboard
    • Click "Add Domain"
    • Enter your domain(s)
    • Select "Portfolio" as the monitoring type
    • Click "Add Domain"
  2. Initial DNS Check:

    • Once added, Domainyze will automatically perform an initial DNS check
    • This captures a snapshot of all your current DNS records
    • The initial check may take a few moments to complete
  3. Automatic Monitoring:

    • DNS checks run automatically on a regular schedule
    • No additional configuration is required
    • You'll receive alerts whenever DNS changes are detected

Viewing DNS Records

To view your domain's DNS records:

  1. Navigate to your Portfolio
  2. Click on the domain you want to view
  3. Scroll to the DNS Records card
  4. You'll see all detected DNS records organized by type (A, MX, NS, TXT, etc.)
  5. Records are collapsible—click on each type to expand and view details

DNS Change Indicators

When viewing DNS records, you'll see helpful indicators:

  • NEW badge: Records that were recently added
  • REMOVED badge: Records that were recently removed
  • Changed badge: Record types that have modifications
  • Record count: Number of records for each type

Requirements

  • Monitoring Type: DNS monitoring is only available for domains with the Portfolio monitoring type
  • Subscription: DNS monitoring is available on all subscription plans
  • DNS Resolution: Your domain must have publicly accessible DNS records
