How to Add Your First Domain(s)

Adding domains to Domainyze is simple and supports bulk entry. You can add domains to your Watchlist (for tracking availability and status) or your Portfolio (for domains you already own).

Steps to Add Domains

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the Dashboard or your Watchlist/Portfolio page.
  3. Click the "Add Domain(s)" button. This will open the domain addition modal.
  4. Enter your Domain Names:
    • You can enter multiple domains at once.
    • Our system automatically normalizes input, so you can separate domains by new lines, commas, or spaces.
    • We automatically strip http://, https://, and www. prefixes.
    • Example: example.com, google.com anotherdomain.net
  5. Assign to Group (Optional): Select a custom group to organize these domains immediately upon adding them.
  6. Select Monitoring Type:
    • Watchlist: Choose this for domains you want to track for registration availability or status changes (e.g., catching a domain about to drop).
    • Portfolio: Choose this for domains you own to enable advanced SSL, DNS, and Expiration monitoring (Available for Pro & Business plans).
  7. Configure Initial Settings:
    • For Watchlist, select which status changes should trigger an alert (default is "Available").
    • For Portfolio, toggle SSL/DNS monitoring and choose your expiry reminder window.
  8. Click "Add Domain(s)": Our system will validate the domains and add them to your account.

Handling Errors

If some domains in your list are invalid or already monitored, Domainyze will provide a detailed summary of the failures. The invalid domains will remain in the text area so you can correct them and try again without re-typing the entire list.

Plan Limits

Remember that your current plan has a domain limit (e.g., 5 domains for the Free plan). If your batch exceeds this limit, the system will notify you and only add domains up to your remaining capacity.
