Preventing accidental domain expiration is a top priority for Domainyze. Our system allows you to configure early renewal reminders for all domains in your Portfolio.
To set up or adjust renewal reminders:
- Navigate to the Dashboard.
- Go to your "Portfolio" tab.
- Locate the domain for which you want to set reminders.
- Click on the domain name to view its detail page.
- Find the "Expiration Reminders" section.
- You will typically see options to set reminders for specific intervals before the expiration date (e.g., 30 days, 60 days, 90 days).
- Select your desired reminder intervals by checking the relevant boxes. You can often select multiple intervals.
- Click "Save Changes" to apply your preferences.
How Reminders Are Sent
Once configured, Domainyze checks your domains once a day. Every domain that reaches one of your selected reminder windows that day is bundled into one daily digest — a single email (and one message on any other channel you've connected) listing them all, rather than a separate message per domain. So even if fifty domains hit a window on the same day, you get one email, not fifty.
Certificate Warnings Have Their Own Windows
SSL certificate expiry warnings are timed separately from domain renewal reminders. Narrowing your domain reminder windows does not narrow your certificate warnings, and the reverse is also true.
To choose certificate warning windows, go to Settings, open the Defaults tab, and set "Certificate warnings". Leave the field empty to use your plan's full set of windows. Certificate warnings apply to portfolio domains that have SSL monitoring turned on.
Best Practices for Reminders
- Set Multiple Reminders: It's often a good idea to set reminders for 90, 60, and 30 days out to give you ample time to react.
- Check Contact Information: Ensure your contact email in Domainyze is up-to-date so you don't miss critical alerts.
- Cross-Reference with Registrar: While Domainyze provides robust monitoring, always keep an eye on your registrar's official expiration date and their own reminder systems.
By leveraging Domainyze's early renewal reminders, you add a crucial layer of protection against domain loss and ensure continuous operation of your online assets.
