If you notice that a domain's status or information in Domainyze isn't updating as quickly as you expect, or if it seems stuck, here are some common reasons and troubleshooting steps:

1. Monitoring Frequency of Your Plan

  • Check Your Plan: Domainyze checks domains at different intervals depending on your subscription plan. For instance, lower-tier plans or Watchlist domains might be checked less frequently (e.g., once every 7 days) compared to higher-tier plans or Portfolio domains.
  • Solution: Consider upgrading your plan for more frequent checks if faster updates are critical for you.

2. Propagation Delays

  • WHOIS/RDAP: Changes made at your registrar (like renewals, nameserver updates) don't instantly propagate across all global WHOIS/RDAP servers. It can take several hours, or even a full day, for these public records to reflect the latest information. Domainyze updates based on these public records.
  • Solution: Patience is key. Our system will eventually pick up the updated information. You can often trigger a manual check for important domains.

3. Caching Issues

  • System Caching: Domainyze uses caching to optimize performance. While we strive to keep data fresh, a brief delay might occur.
  • WHOIS Server Caching: Some WHOIS servers themselves cache responses, which means even if our system queries, it might receive slightly stale data for a short period.
  • Solution: For critical domains, you can manually trigger a check in your dashboard, which will bypass some caching layers and force an immediate lookup.

4. Domain Status (e.g., Pending Delete)

  • Domains in critical phases like pendingDelete are checked much more frequently. However, their status might appear "stuck" if the registry is processing the deletion.

5. Technical Issues

  • Invalid Domain: Ensure the domain name is correctly entered and is a valid, registered domain.
  • Temporary Glitches: Rarely, there might be a temporary issue with our monitoring system or with the remote WHOIS/RDAP server we are querying.
  • Solution: If the issue persists for more than 24-48 hours and you've verified your plan's frequency and allowed for propagation, please contact support.

By understanding these factors, you can better manage your expectations for domain updates within Domainyze.
