Importing domains from a CSV file allows you to quickly add large lists of domains to your Watchlist or Portfolio in one go.

Preparing your CSV file

To ensure a successful import, your CSV file should follow these guidelines:

  1. Column Names: We recommend using a header row with a column named domain, name, or url.
  2. Default Behavior: If no specific header is found, the system will automatically look for domain names in the first column of your file.
  3. Data Cleaning: You don't need to manually clean your list. The system automatically handles:
    • http:// or https:// prefixes.
    • www. subdomains.
    • Trailing slashes and whitespace.
    • Duplicate entries within the file.

How to Import

  1. Navigate to either the Watchlist or Portfolio page depending on where you want to add the domains.
  2. Click the Import CSV icon (cloud upload symbol) located in the action bar, usually next to the "Add Domain(s)" button.
  3. In the modal that appears, select your .csv or .txt file (max size 2MB).
  4. Confirm the import. Once processed, you will receive a summary of the results, including successfully added domains and any that were skipped (e.g., due to invalid format or already being monitored).

Important Considerations

  • Subscription Plan: CSV import and export are premium features available on paid subscription plans.
  • Account Limits: The number of domains you can import is subject to your plan's monitoring limit. If your CSV contains more domains than your remaining capacity, only the domains that fit within your limit will be processed.
  • Duplicates: The system will automatically detect and skip domains that you are already monitoring in either your Watchlist or Portfolio.
